Description:
Enjoy the diversity of over 5 million bulbs blooming, flooding the open spaces of Kew Gardens. The swathes of crocuses, scilla siberica, galanthus and daffodils are set to be a riot of colour. Entering the Gardens at Victoria Gate from mid March you will be greeted with a sea of blue, white and mauve crocuses. From March onwards the Broad Walk is bathed in the glorious sunny glow of daffodils, the perfect setting for a gentle amble on a sunny spring day. Later in the season thousands of deep blue Chionodoxa siehei (Glory of the Snow) carpet the lawns near White Peaks. Time your trip to perfection by keeping an eye on the Bulb Watch map at www.kew.org/bulbwatch which is regularly updated by staff working in the Gardens. Throughout March and April Kew also runs free daily guided walking tours, "The Darling Buds of March and April", taking in Kew's seasonal highlights.
